Amber & I joined the celebrations down at Cowboys on Friday evening for Alicia & Angel's double-stagette. We are all from the same hometown, Oxbow and had a blast!

I love this photo...especially with the Cowboys sign in the back. This will probably be my last visit to this memorable nightclub before it is demolished after the Calgary Stampede. In this photo are (r to l): Bride-To-Be Angel, Bride-To-Be Alicia, Jordan, Starr, Amber, Taigan & Jesse.

Dinosaur Provincial Park

We took a trip this weekend to Dinosaur Provincial Park (near Brooks, AB) where we met Cory's Mom & Phil and camped together. We could not believe that this desert-like area was here in our province & didn't really know it. We took a bus tour to dig for dinosaur fossils, saw paleontologists at work and got HOT in the 32 degree Celsius heat. It was great and we'd definitely go back.

Cooking with Jenny

Yesterday my lovely friend Jenny (& her daughter Jackie) came over so we could cook together. She prepared the recipes and organized the whole thing...even sent me a shopping list for ingredients. I expressed an interest in learning a bit more about cooking; since I'm an avid baker.

It was wonderful to cook with such an experienced chef as Jenny...she is so at-home in the kitchen. I am excited that she has decided to become a Pampered Chef Consultant in the future!

Our kids were great while we were busy in the kitchen. I learned three new recipies: Lentil Barley Stew, Beef & Cheese Manicotti and Roasted Checken with Balsamic Vinaigrette (which was supper for the evening). Everything was delicious and I can't wait for next time!
