'Broke Ground!'
We are very excited that our basement on our new lot was dug today. It went from this:
...to this in a matter of hours.
It was nice to see so many people come out to watch the escavating, including a group of children Bonnie Morrow looks after at her day home.
Don Hansen from Oxbow Trenching is working the 'Big Digger' (as Ace calls it) and Cory is in the bobcat.
It was very exciting to see the first step of our home come together...now hopefully the 10 next months will go smooth.

I haven't been crafting or cardmaking for a while, so I thought I would leave you all with a photo of one of my favorite cards I created a few months ago. Hopefully I'll get my crafty mojo back soon.

15/30My sister Christa & my Mom were very involved in this hometown benefit to help the Amosah family who have two sons battling Batten disease. It was an amazing event starting with a supper, chinese auction, live auction & and concluding with a dance. It was so touching to see the community of Oxbow pull together for this cause! It was a great night and over $60,000 was raised for the family, a huge success.

Do you watch Battlestar Gallactica?
if no, you should. You should put all your pre-conceptions aside about sci-fi shows and give it a chance...I did and now I'm hooked! It is probably my favorite show right now on TV. I'd love to hear from any other Battlestar fans out there...I know you're out there! Tonight is the season premier of their 4th & final season...I'm very anxious to watch with my ROCK...it's the only show we watch together.

Our visit to Oxbow has not been to eventful since we're all feeling fluish & have colds. Our entire family has been to the hospital & clinic to get checked out. Scarlett & Ace are both on a nebulizer for their chest congestion...surprisingly, they sit still during the process to inhale their medicine.

We were so thankful to have Cory's Uncle Terry help us out by driving a trailer from Calgary to Oxbow for us. And thankful that he was there to help Cory out when our truck broke down (without warning) on the way down...without him, Cory would have been stranded in Moose Jaw where it broke down.

My sister Christa suggested that we try a little Feng Shui to help us sell our home.
What you do is take a piece of your baseboard, a piece of metal from your kitchen & soil from your garden and place it all into a red envelope. Then you send the envelope down a fast moving river. We thought it was worth a shot and maybe just maybe it will send us some good carma...you never know?

Going Away Party
On Saturday evening, our close Calgary friends threw us a memorable Going Away Party! We had a wonderful time catching up with everyone and enjoying their selections for the pot-luck. A big thank you goes out to the Chibry household for hosting the event...the atmosphere was amazing and it was so enjoyable to arrive at the party with everything being taken care of. Thank you to Ross who was the DJ for the event...we just love his tunes and enjoyed dancing all night. Thank you to Amber for taking it upon herself to have a cake made. Thank you to everyone who brought going-away gifts, cards & best wishes. And a special thank you goes to Dee-Ann, Amber, Kelly, Jenny & Kim who planned the event and made it all happen...you took the party-planning stress away and created a great party for us to remember for years to come...we are so thankful to have you as friends!

'Zen Retreat'It's funny how I never thought to create a space like this until we began staging the house to sell. I love the feeling our master & ensuite now gives off and find myself wandering in there throughout the day.
Midnight Pomegranate bubble bath smells wonderful!
Massage oils from Arbonne
Violet tulips by the bed
Feng shui music playing...such a peaceful space.
