Relay For Life Oxbow

Over 600 volunteers & relayers attended the Relay For Life in Oxbow. It was an amazing event...we had a great view from our campsite atop the hill overlooking the event. It was a great way for everyone to get out and support Cancer research as it comes close to home for almost all of us. My favorite part is the luminarie ceremony.

Wood ticks

If you live in our area of Saskatchewan, these little critters are quite common. Already, the kids have had a few of these wood ticks on them...we check ourselves every night. When you try to remove them, be sure to get all of their body because you don't want any of them left in ya'. Yuck!
Here's Papa showing the Grandkids how to get rid of a woodtick...you burn it.

Ahhh Starbucks

I indulged in many trips to Starbucks during my trip to Calgary...most of you already know how much I like my 'Starbucks'.

Medicine Hat was my last Starbucks stop on the way back to Oxbow.
Thanks Dawn for helping me find the Medicine Hat location.

Visit with the Macdonalds

I finished off my visiting in Calgary at the Macdonalds home. My friend Kelly is always so hospitable and creates gourmet meals when she has guests.

She even invited over my little sis Amber so I could see her one last time before I left. And upon visiting with Kel, the Scrabble board usually makes it's way out.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!

PS: Thanks Ross for the new CD you made me for the trip home...it's great!

Visit with Linda

Linda invited me over for Sunday brunch while I was visiting Calgary. We had a great visit and her neice Shay-Lynn was there too!
Linda made a delicious breakfast casserole and then shared these two cards she created...aren't they cute!

It was so nice to stop in and say HI...thanks for having me Linda!

Sex and the City Movie Night

On May 31st, my sister Amber & I gathered 17 girlfriends and went to see the 'Sex and the City Movie' in Calgary. It was an amazing night...with the girls!

The movie made famous by these four women: Charlotte, Miranda, Samantha & Carrie
We began with cosmopolitains & appetizers at Joey Tomatoes resturant.
Gift bags included: Sex and the City soundtrack, quiz, movie magazine, movie ticket, $10 consession gift card, cosmo glass/bath sundae, pink pen, condom, pink tampons, mini shoe...in pink bags of course!
Amber dressed as 'Carrie Bradshaw' from Am's favorite episode when Aiden asks Carrie to marry him in front of the fountain in her white dress & engagement ring on a necklace.

Everyone looked fabulous and wore their fave pair of shoes...

We occupied three rows at the theater
Amber & I
Megan & Dee-Ann
Serena & Chantel
Me, Hannah & PamAfter the movie, we all hopped in a limo for a ride in the city
Here's to a great movie!
Dee-Ann We ended the evening with a bit of nightclub dancing.

Thanks girls for making it a FABULOUS night!

Hello Lover!

If you recognize that phrase, then you were probably as excited as I was for the Sex and the City MOVIE that premiered in theaters a few weekends ago!

Here I am with my shoe choice for the evening when I watched the movie with my girlfriends

If you haven't gone to see it, I would say, take your favorite pair of shoes out and SEE IT!
