Alberta Trip Day 4
This morning we took a trip to the Zoo!  There we met our friends Cindy & Chloe.
I was amazed at how close the kids got to the peacock, they are not shy in the least.

Cindy showing the kids where to look for the hippos.
Scarlett & Ace loved these phone-like things at the each exhibit.
We made sure we all took photos with our cameras so that we can make an ABC book when we get home.
Scarlett, Chloe & Ace
Such a cute photo of the three of them.
Thankfully Cindy brought her wagon and my munchkins hitched a ride.
You wouldn't know it by this photo that it was a gong-show to get everyone together.
We had a great time at the Zoo!
That evening, I was able to do a pregnancy photoshoot for my good friend Kim who was 38 weeks at the time.  I'll be posting the photos as soon as I launch my photography website...very soon!
On my way back to Ambers from the Inglewood area, I stumbled on this cute little store with an amazing sign.
Cute tray of Q buttons.
Also found this cool VW orange van.
I couldn't resist getting some photos of it.
Then it was time to meet my friend Dee-Ann for an interview.
It was so much fun, thanks D!

Alberta Trip Day 3
Auntie Amber served us pancakes for breakfast.  Then she started to give everyone a hair trim.  First Ace...

Then Scarlett.
What a cutie!

We hung out at Southcentre Mall for the afternoon.

Then it was time for haircut #3, Amber decided to turn me blonde!
We were invited to go for a BBQ at Amber's boyfriend's (Chris) aunt & uncle's house.  The kids played in the backyard and caught bugs before we had supper.
Dinosaur cupcakes for dessert, Ace was in heaven.
It was great to meet them, I really like their mantra:

Alberta Trip Day 2
First Day in Calgary
It's great to be back in our old city, I feel so at home here!  We got into town just in time to have a quick lunch with my sister Amber and quickly say 'Hi' to my friend Kelly (Amber is her hair stylist).  Then we headed to the Kensington area to visit my friend Kim at her new place.  We toured around the area, visiting Honey B's (one of my favorite antique shops), Crave Cupcakes and The Mom Store.

It was so relaxing to tour around this artsy area of the city.
Then we headed to the Southeast part of the city, Copperfield, the neighbourhood we used to live in.  We had supper with our friends the Chibry family.  Loved to see the neighbourhood blue recycling bins at the end of the driveways in suburbia.
Then we headed to a nearby park to watch Kaeden's T-Ball game.  The kids had fun playing at a city park again...something we did everyday when we lived there.

Shelby & the kids!  Can you tell they are so excited to see her!
Kaeden playing ball...

The kids were tired, s0 we went over to Ambers, where we settled in for the next few days.  Amber had picked up a NEW lens for my camera, so of course I had to play.  This is the first shot I took with it (I'll explain more about this lens later on)...it's amazing!
Capped off the evening with a peanut butter cupcake from Crave.  Not my favorite flavor, but definitely yummy.

Alberta Trip Day 1
Today the kids & I left for a 12-day trip to Alberta to visit friends & family.  We travelled 6 hours to Medicine Hat to stay with our friends, the Allan family.
Dawn had a refreshing drink waiting for me when I got there & then she cooked us beef-dips for supper.  The kids played outside for the rest of the evening.
Bugs & water fun.
Caught their son Gavin just hangin' with the dog looking out onto the horizon, awww.
Gavin eating an ice cream cone, what a cutie!

Storytime before bed.
And Dawn & I finished off the night with some wine, popcorn and the season premier of Jon & Kate Plus 8.  Check out the name of the wine, tee hee.

We had a great stay with our friends, the Allans.
