Happy Fathers Day
Today while Daddy was working, we did some crafts and waited for him to get home.
The kids thought that their box needed some color...
...so we got the paints out...
...and the kids created a masterpiece.
We went over to my parents place to enjoy a meal together and spend time with my Dad.

When we got home, we made a family night of the evening.
We played the bumblebee game.
Then Cory read the kids a book: Scaredy Squirrel
It was such a cute book.
A great Fathers Day for some great Dads,

Lobsterfest 2009

Lobsterfest - Oxbow Swimming Pool Fundraising Event
I look forward to this annual event, one of the only times we can get fresh lobster on the prairie.
Yummy muscles for an appetizer.
And there's the cooked lobster, they put it on a separate plate for you since they're so big.
The guys are good at getting to the 'meat', but I have to admit I needed help.
No matter how you get into the lobster, it was delicious!
Cory showing his superhero powers of carrying 4 drinks at once, one of the reasons I married him :)
A wine club member, hiding behind some wine...we may have to join a support group.
Just incase you didn't know, Saskatchewan's provincial drink...held by Tina T.
Barb & Michelle having some fun!
The evening ended with dancing. We had a great time!

Playdough with Cindy
My sweet friend Cindy helped me out today while I was doing a photoshoot for her in-laws, she looked after the kids while I was away. I had a great shoot and when I returned they were all contently playing Playdough in the kitchen. Ace & Scarlett had talked Cindy into letting them play, I had to chuckle at how these two can be to get what they want.

First Try at Sun Flares
Last night I read The Pioneer Woman's take on photographing Sun Flares. It was so interesting, I just had to try it myself. So I set my camera on Manual, changed my ISO to 100 and headed to the park with the kids. I love the result in the photo I got of Scarlett!

This is the BEST pizza I've ever tasted! I picked up a few frozen ones while in Calgary, all you have to do is pop them in the oven, and voila...gourmet personal pan pizzas. They even have fundraising opportunities, they're a great company.
Scarlett wouldn't eat anything but her Dora alphagetties tonight.

Tonight after we got the kids asleep, Cory asked 'would you like me to make you a glass of water with lemon, just the way you like it?'...how thoughful! It's probably my favorite drink, in a new glass I picked up at Target.

Happy Birthday Mercedes
For her 3rd birthday her family threw her a pony party!
Her Grandma Irwin brought by the pony that her Grandchildren share for everyone to ride. This was the first time Ace & Scarlett had been on a horse. They loved it!

Payton with Grandma Irwin.
Sadie & Scarlett hangin' out on the swing.
And their cute Dora shoes.
Ace, Nicolas, Sadie & Scarlett on a double date. They had some much fun at this party!

An Evening With Friends
Our friends Cory & Michelle hosted a dinner party to remember! We were invited to attend as well as Curt & Cindy and Trent & Lian. This delicious supper was catered by a local woman, Sandy Dalziel, who is an amazing cook who owned a restaurant in town a few years ago.
Our hosts...
An inviting table...

Great hors d'oeuvres...
Cocktails....
And an amazing main course...on the right (below) you can see Sandy after cooking the meal.
And the finale, turtle cheesecake!

Unfortunately that night, Michelle received a phone call and learned of her cousin passing away suddenly. We were glad to be there for her during this difficult time.
