Another great mail day this week. Received this card from our dear friend Linda. Thank you for your kind words and all the congratulations!

Received my order from www.scrapbookpictures.com with the pages & prints from the Week In The Life project from a few weeks ago. I was so excited, I had the pages placed in protectors and into my Project Life album within 30 minutes. This was one of the most rewarding projects I have ever completed...key word here is completed! I'd love to share it with you if you pop by for a visit sometime.

And Jana dropped off the Pink Paislee kit she picked up for me. The products are adorable, can't wait to do something with the houndstooth papers and canvas album. Thanks Jana for taking care of this and delivering it to me, can't wait to play!

We broke out the sun-catcher kits for our morning craft. The kids made 5 each before 9am...guess that means I had better get a summer craft line-up ready for them!

This family took a quick spur-of-the-moment trip to Regina today. We picked up the last two pieces of railing Cory needed to finish our back deck (which he completed as soon as we made it home)...and to take a spin in our new wheels.

We hadn't been in the city for a while, so we had fun taking it easy, shopping around and picking up Starbucks without any specific appointments to be at.
Went to David's Tea (Cory is an avid tea drinker) and came home with new flavors to try.
Hit MAC up for some new summer eye colors.
Picked up some fresh saltwater taffy from Superstore.
And one last stop at Michaels...I think I did pretty good at not going overboard.

Just love when the kids get to hang out with their cousins!

Snuggling with the kiddos at the end of the day is such a treat, even though there isn't much room on my lap these days.

We traded in our van today for one of these. Feeling pretty privileged to be driving a vehicle on warranty again. There's so many gadgets in it, it's like driving a living room on wheels. It will make long trips so much more enjoyable!

May Lilacs

I love the smell of fresh lilacs in our kitchen.
Thanks Mom for bringing me some a few weeks ago.

It's official, my youngest sister Amber and her boyfriend Christian have purchased a home in Oxbow. They will be moving from Calgary early in July. We are absolutely thrilled for them!

Our niece Kyra stayed with us for the night tonight. Her family is in Regina with her brother Kelby after a bike accident (happened Monday), they ran some tests and other than a concussion, he is doing much better. Even though the circumstances could have been better, we enjoyed having Kyra for her stay. We headed to the 'dog beach' after supper to play around and explore. I loved the photo above of Kyra & Ace along the water skipping stones together.
The kids got some exercise while picking wild flowers. Kyra & Scarlett showing off their bouquets.

Backyard Playground

Now that the rain has stopped (for a few days anyways) the kids are loving their new backyard playset! Cory & helpers did an amazing job on completing this project. The backyard is coming together...grass is planted, fence posts are set...next onto the fence boards & deck railing...no shortage of projects around here.

Today is the day Scarlett got glasses. Not for her vision, but to strengthen her eye that turns in. She's not very impressed by having to wear these, but we think she looks darn cute!

It was such a treat to go away for the day to see this movie
with my girlfriends Christy, Michelle, Jocelyn & Channy
(thanks Channy for taking this photo). We are all true fans
of the show and it was so special to have this experience with them!

We headed to Minot, ND (the closest place showing this flick)
and had a day of girl talk, shopping, Starbucks & fun. We even
had our own little adventure getting back to Canada...missed the
border closing by 5 minutes and then having to drive to a 24-hour
port to get back thru, almost running out of gas and taking
backroad shortcuts to save time.

We all enjoyed the movie! I loved seeing the girls back together
again, the fashion, getting my Aiden fix & how real life the plot
was. There were so many things I could relate to in this movie.
Already thinking of seeing it again when it comes closer...
with the girls of course!

Scarlett's First Dance Recital
We are so proud of our little ballerina...she did an amazing job and her class was just adorable on stage.
Make-up & hair at home

Waiting in the line up to go on-stage
She was so excited to get a rose from her brother
She loved every minute of the recital and wanted to watch the whole recital (3 hours). It was a great day.

Four simple ingredients make guacamole that is so good (thanks Lori for this recipe, we make it all the time)!
