The Holiday
Ok, so I said I'd blog about our Christmas holidays, but I just couldn't leave this un-mentioned...my friend Dee-Ann & I went to the movies last night and saw The Holiday. It was such a beautiful movie, we both gave it two thumbs up! It'll put a smile on your face :)

We're Back
The drive back from Christmas holidays in Saskatchewan was a bit scary on Thursday...but we made it. This was our view from the van while Amber, the kids & I followed Cory driving Amber's vehicle. We had a very fun & eventful holiday and I'll update you over the next little while with the details...for now, we're just happy to have made it back safe on the treacherous roads!

Bridesmaids
As per my sister Christa's request, here's a photo of my bridesmaids from our wedding (since I've been so bad at getting wedding photos out, even to our wedding party). I absolutely love this photo, they are all beautiful. Starting with me and going clockwise, they are:
Amber, my youngest sister
Kim, friend for 20 years
Kelly, friend for 10 years
Kelly, friend for 10 years
Christa, my middle sister
I'm so lucky to have them all in my day-to-day life and I'll be seeing all four of them in the next week! Love you girls...Starr

Fun & Busy Weekend
Our weekend events began on Friday night. It was Cec's (Kim's Dad) 60th birthday and we celebrated at his casino party! It was an amazing party, Kim & Taylor did a great job organizing it. Amber was my date since Cory stayed home with our sick kids.
Saturday, Cory had to work since we've been having such problems with our employees showing up to work lately (bummer). So he put in a 3/4 day and came home just in time to head over to the Hill Christmas party. Adam & Jenny put on a delicious spread (mostly Jenny) and we had a great time mingling while the kids played all night with Adam's old star wars toys (Ace was in heaven - loves star wars).

Fun & Busy Weekend (continued...)
Sunday morning we picked up our new bench from Finishing Touches. We had it built for our front door entrance. We're very impressed with it, it's exactly what the space needed.
Sunday afternoon we had Gord, Donna & Scott Avery (from my hometown) over to visit. They were in town for Cec's 60th birthday party. We had a really nice visit...hard to believe we'll be seeing them again in just a week back home for Christmas!
Sunday evening we enjoyed dinner with our friends Scott & Tanya and their son Ethan. Then we all went to enjoy Zoolights and yummy hot chocolate. It was great to visit and catch up with them!

The Bloomin' Inn
During the December 1 - 3 weekend, myself and a few friends headed down to the Bloomin' Inn for a scrapbooking retreat. It was great! I managed to get some little projects done including our family's Christmas cards. It was so nice to just sit & scrap with no distractions...and the home cookin' was an added bonus. Nicole brought a fabulous veggie tray, minus the veggies (tee hee) and we were all able to indulge in Megan's famous drinks from Muffin's cafe. Dee-Ann & I were the last ones up each evening & darn proud of it. Thank you to my DH Cory for holding the fort down at home while I was gone. Love you!!

Ace is sick!
This poor little guy caught the flu for the first time on Sunday night. You just feel so bad for them because they don't know what's happening to their body. His vomiting subsided this afternoon and I caught this photo as he ws snoozing. Hopefully he'll be able to get some sleep tonight and get his appetite back tomorrow...since all he had today was water.
