Seriously Spoiled!

A beautiful bouquet of roses from Cory

Rachelle with the kids

My favorite scrapbook store

I was absolutely spoiled last week...I'm so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!
First, Kim took me to the Mariah Carey concert on Monday.
Thursday, Amber babysat the kids while I enjoyed a kid-free lunch with my old manager from CVF, Rod. The kids just love hanging out with their Auntie!
Friday, my friend Rachelle offered to babysit the kids while I ran some errands. She made out wonderfully. I had a chance to visit my favorite scrapbook store while I was out: Scrapbookers Bliss.
And to top everything off, Cory surprised me with red roses on Friday evening...they are identical to my wedding bouquet...what a sweetheart!

Papers for Dee-Ann

These beautiful papers from Heidi Grace have my friend Dee's name all over them. I thought you'd love them Dee! Aren't they beautiful?

Butterflies

My dear husband and best friend Kim were in cahoots together to surprise me on Monday night. I had thought that Cory was going out for the evening, when Kim surprised me with tickets to the Mariah Carey concert! She had everything planned for our girls night so that we could just go out and have fun. Cory watched the kids and off we went.

The concert was great, a little bit of old-school and new music combined, we sat 7th row on the floor. And to top it all off, the theme of the concert was butterflies....which is Kim's connection to her Mom who passed away earlier this year. Every time she sees a butterfly, she thinks of her Mom and knows her Mom is with her...it's a very special connection! At the end of the concert, millions of metallic pink & purple butterflies rained down on the crowd...we looked at each other in awwwh and couldn't believe it because of Kim's butterfly connection. So to say the least, I had an amazing time! I'm so blessed to have such a thoughtful friend, thanks Kim!

Autumn Sweet Autumn

Well it's officially fall...which reminds us of our neice Autumn (isn't her name beautiful). She's such a sweetie. Here she is on her 9th birthday...it seems like yesterday that she was a little baby, and now she's grown into such a lovely young girl!

Wedding Pages

Some recent scrapbook pages I've completed for our wedding album. Looking at them excites me to do some more. My workspace/office is almost complete and I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. Enjoy!

New Furniture

Our new furniture from Urban Barn arrived last week! We've waited for these couches since ordering them in June...and it was worth the wait. We are very impressed with them and love how the dark chocolate brown fabric compliments the decor.

We are slowly completing each room in the house. This completes the living room on the main floor other than some pictures to hang. We'll send photos as we finish more rooms in the house.

What's For Dinner?

I broke out the crockpot today to cook some chili. Must be the cold weather that inspires me to make a hardy home-cooked meal for the family...yumm!

Battlestar Galactica

Season 2.5 of Battlestar Galactica was released today. This is the ONLY show that Cory & I watch together. Does anyone else out there watch this show? We love that it's filmed in Vancouver with a few Canadian actors. And there's a character named 'Starbuck'....that got me watching it!

September Long Weekend

September long-weekend at the Avramovich cabin near Caroline, AB is a tradition for us. Cory & I have been going there 8 years-in-a-row (with the exception of 2004 when Ace was born) and we look forward to it every year! We love catching up with Linda & Chuck (who own the property) and their son Mike & his fiancee Tobi. It's a time to kick back, do some camping and partying with new & old friends. The Avro family have been so hospitable to us over the years...Cheers to them!

As you can see, we're at the cabin folks!

I try something unique with this photo every year...just ask about the year we used bodies!!!

Ace & Cory...our little guy had a blast at the cabin, especially riding the Lil' Quad.

Starr & Scarlett watching a game of horseshoes.

Around the campfire: Dexter the dog, Tobi, Mike, Linda & Paul.

Tom & Kelly! Women were first allowed out to the Sept-long weekend 8 years ago...Kelly & I are the last remaining girls who were at that first weekend (with the exception of Linda).

Mike dancin' with his Momma in front of Chuck's Stagger Inn.
Snack boy 'Rob' coppin' a feel of Starr...where's Cory?

And last but not least, Chuck, Cory & Mike. Chuck's theme song for the weekend was from the tv commercial "hands in my pocket, hands in my pocket, hands in my pocket"...penalty shot Chuck ;)

Ace on KIDS CBC Television

On Friday September 15th, Ace's birthday Star that we made and sent into KIDS CBC will be showed at 7:50am (after Lunar Jim). Hope you all can watch...if not, here's a photo we took before we sent the star off in the mail.

Ace's Pirate Party

Our sweet little man Ace turned 2 years old last Saturday. We held a pirate themed party for him in the park near our old house. It was great! We enjoyed seeing everyone and Ace had a wonderful time with all the kids. Here are some photos from the party...

The party invitation.

Mommy, Ace & Daddy at the Pirate Park..it's hard to believe you're two already buddy!

Jolly Mate Ace...Happy Birthday!

Scarlett spent most of the party with Nana & Papa Snider...we couldn't have done it without them, they helped us so much with the party...Thank you!

The party wouldn't be complete without the treasure map cake (homemade by Mommy)...complete with treasures inside!

Papa Snider goofin' around the night before the party.
