New Jeans

My Victoria Beckam Rock & Republic jeans have 'bit the dust' (tear). So I took The Rock (aka: my hubby Cory) to help me shop for a new pair of duds. We got a babysitter one Friday night, went straight to the GAP...and had good luck! I purchased this pair of welt-pocket curvy jeans.
I was dreading (& putting off) the time when I had to shop for a new pair of jeans, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm very happy with the pair I choose but still looking for another pair. If you have any suggestions of a good pair, I'd love to hear your ideas.

Happy Valentine's Day!

We had a low-key Valentines Day since everyone around here is still recovering from colds & flus. I have realized over my 5 years of marriage, that if I want to do anything for Valentine's Day, I need to plan it. Don't feel sorry for me, my husband just isn't into made-up holidays and romance...that's just the way he is. So I made plans for us to enjoy a movie on DVD:
'No Reservations'
And indulged in a box of our favorite chocolates: Bernard Callebaut
More specifically the creamy caramel ones...yum!
We had a wonderful time and to top off my day, Cory left me a note in the kitchen before he left for work in the morning which simply said: 'Happy Valentine's Day'...maybe he is coming around? I couldn't have asked for anything more...love ya sweetie!
Happy Heart Day everyone!

Photography Assignment

Tonight was the last night of the photography class I've been taking at SAIT. We had our final exam and critique of everyones final assignments; it was very informative & interesting to see everyones photos. The class was great and I'd recommend it if you'd like to brush up on your photography skills and learn what-more you can do with your camera. Now that the class is over, here's my wishlist of accessories I'll be saving up to for: tripod, wide angle lens, polarizing filter, starcross filter, accessory flash & Gary Fong light sphear.

Here are the 7 photos I submitted for my final assignment:
5 photos with a common theme...my theme being Ace & his new toy (Lite Bright)

Technique Tuesday: Staples & Beads

When I heard of this technique at a Stampin' Up! meeting, I was excited to try it. It is simply beads threaded onto an unfolded staple and then attached to your project. I used a paper piercer to make two holes, then threaded my beads and placed the staple onto my cardstock through the holes. Then fold over the ends of the staple using a bone folder. Simple!
Recipe (all products Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted)
Stamps: Little Pieces, Fundamental Phrases, Simple Serif Mini Alphabet & Numbers
Ink: Certainly Celery, Soft Sky, So Saffron, Groovy Guava
Paper: Soft Sky, Certainly Celery, So Saffron (textured), Groovy Guava, Whisper White cardstock
Accessories: 1/2" Circle Punch, paper piercer (ProvoCraft), staple, paperclip, Green Bead Duo, Stamping Dimensionals, Groovy Guava ribbon
***Sorry I skipped a week (due to sickness), but thanks for stickin' around.***

Took Scarlett to Crave where she choose cupcakes for her party...pink, of course!
Her outfit for the party came from Gymboree (they have an entire cupcake line)
