This mama is away on a Scrapbook Retreat at Kenosee Lake this weekend.  I just love going on retreats to create and relax...I always come back so fresh and smiling.

Had a fabulous time at the Scrap Away Retreat put on by sisters Missy & Lachalle this weekend.  Cory took the kids for down to Minot so I was able to have some time to myself and craft the hours away.

This is the second annual retreat...already looking forward to next year.

Oh I was so excited my chalkboard Easter eggs turned out.

Just a few coats of chalkboard paint on these boiled eggs did the trick.

After I took this photo, the kids were anxiously waiting to draw on them...so much fun!

Having a great RETREAT with Kim...I so needed this!

It's a treat to myself every 6 months.

 Lots of creative time, down time, friend time and me time.

 So great to see my bff Kim and have some fun!
We've been going on retreats like this for 7 years now.

After a freak snowstorm, I made it safely to the scrapbook retreat in Kenossee.

Felt great to be there with my bff Kim who travelled from Calgary.

Settling in was fast and easy to get right into creating!

The kiddos & I had a great morning at the Family Centre.

Alicia led this cute craft...snowman canvases.  So clever to use the kids' handprints to make snowman bodies.

Began our day painting wax crayon/watercolor resist masterpieces.

Yellow Submarine Day

Ace was asked to provide the decorations for the submarine party they were having at school today. He had fun creating these yellow submarines (we hummed that tune as he created) and I was so impressed by how they turned out. We made them into banners and sandwich stick toppers to go with their submarine sandwich lunch.

100th Day of School

To celebrate the 100th day of school, Ace participated by bringing a collection of 100 marshmallows. I suggested he glue them to the paper (was thinking they would get eaten before they made it to school). What a fun project!

Photo Cube Class

I had so much fun designing this set of blocks to display in our home.

I will be teaching a class next week at the local Family Centre to make these...looking forward to it

Triple Clipboard Class

Taught a class this week at the Family Centre where we made these triple clipboards. I plan on hanging mine in my kitchen and keeping a separate shopping list on each.

Little Princess Book

Created this cute little book a while back and thought I would share.

Quick & easy baby shower gift idea.

I think I'm addicted, you might be too once you see how easy they are to make!

Loved this simple way of binding the book.

Made out of envelopes, you can dress up the pages and tuck goodies inside.

Had our traditional 'apple before anything else' snack before breakfast.

Relaxing day...mostly in our pjs.

Then had my sister's family over for Easter Dinner, just the 8.5 of us...it was a great day!

Winning Layouts

Loved how these layouts came together. Haven't scrapbooked 12 x 12 layouts in a while and was thrilled when they were each chosen to win 1st & 2nd prize at the retreat last weekend! Love this creative outlet!
