Remembering Norma

We lost one of the most wonderful people in our lives one year ago today, Norma Avery. She was my best friend Kim's mother and Kim has done an amazing job of carrying on her Mom's spirit over the past year. Words cannot express how much we miss Norma. She will be remembered for her for kindness, her love of children, happy spirit and laughter.
Here is Norma with both of our children, I am so glad my children were able to meet this woman!

I found this poem on Nancy's blog...it is so touching...
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to heaven
And bring you back again

No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why

Our hearts still ache in sadness
And secret tears still flow
What it meant to lose you
No one can ever know

But now we know you want us
To mourn for you no more
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store

Since you'll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you'll always stay.

Starr, every day that moves forward I realize more and more what it means to have such an amazing friend like you. You know just how to luv me and how to make it feel better. This dedication is amazing and you made my day today with the mug, the stamps, and the blog. I am honoured to be your friend
