Dinosaur Provincial Park

We took a trip this weekend to Dinosaur Provincial Park (near Brooks, AB) where we met Cory's Mom & Phil and camped together. We could not believe that this desert-like area was here in our province & didn't really know it. We took a bus tour to dig for dinosaur fossils, saw paleontologists at work and got HOT in the 32 degree Celsius heat. It was great and we'd definitely go back.

Breathtaking views
Looked like we were on a movie set...amazing scenery
So hot there, these cactus grow naturally
Our guide told us that these were like chocolate chip cookies sitting atop mounds of rock
Favorite weekend photo of Ace...overheated
Favorite weekend photo of Scarlett...in her cute red hat
Rattlesnake found next to our RV site!!!
Grandma Rose & the kiddies
Ace visiting the dinosaur bones...he loved it!

Hard to believe this is in the middle of our province of Alberta

WOW!! My oldest daughter (8 yrs) would LOVE this!! She loves the whole archeology thing. Gma gave her a fossil rock for Christmas that she can dig actual gems and fossils out of. Looks like your family had a ball out there :) YEAH...and Scarlett looks OH SO CUTE in that li'l red hat!!
