A Sunday of organizing...our kids' craft room on the main floor is often a disaster. I love the creativity that goes on in that room, but they are very unmotivated when it comes to cleaning up.
And after...ahhh, that's better. Crossing my fingers that this will inspire them to keep it clean for a few days. I'm tempted to put up some velvet ropes and have the room off limits for a few days so it can remain this way for a little while :)
Coloring shelf has idea books, baskets of coloring books (sorted into boy & girl themes) and crayons/pencils, twistables & markers.
Plan to label these drawers...they contain glue, scissors, construction paper, stamps & ink and finished masterpieces (still looking for the best way to display these).

I think you should buy some big frames and some great pieces of scrapbooking paper and use the scrapbook paper as a "mat" and then use the kids artwork as the picture in the frame.... and hang those on the wall in the room. Change them out every month or so.
My friend did this with 12X17 frames in her kitchen.... one for each kid... and changes out the artwork as something wonderful is created.
i think it shows the kids that you truly value their creativity
What about a giant (of course decorated) cork board? You could even get those cork squares, or sheets, and come up with something creative yourself. That way, the kids could "DISPLAY" their finished masterpieces on the wall!!
Another idea, of course, is the simple heavy wire and decorative clothes pins, that they can hang up their art on :) Just some ideas for ya !!
Why not pictures the kids have drawen in white frames for the walls. You can change them often.
I hope you melted down those broken crayons to make new shapes:)
