Ahhhh, the stain we put on our deck LAST YEAR is peeling up already...it's a long story, but it was the incorrect product for the job. So Cory is doing some pressure washing to get most of it off. Hope to get this re-stained next spring to reveal the beautiful cedar it is.

Went out to dinner at the Moosehead in Kenossee Lake with these friends from highschool. It was great to see them all and spend some time catching up.

With the construction of our brand new K-12 school comes the demolition of the old elementary school. Here you can see the beams of the gymnasium exposed, once a place of many community gatherings (Christmas concerts, Halloween dances, Kindergarten graduations...the list is long). I couldn't help but feel a little sad seeing this as it my my old Elementary School too.

A party in the park was the buzz in town during the lunchhour today. Took the kids after swimming lessons to enjoy the games and treats.

We had a blast at Grandma Nash's birthday party this weekend in Saskatoon!
It was so nice to see everyone and catch up. It will be a memorable weekend for all of us, especially the kids who played hard the whole time.

Today we jetted off for the first time away from our new store for the weekend...we're heading to Saskatoon for Cory's Grandma's 80th birthday celebration and stayed overnight in a Regina hotel for the night.
On the way out of town, we received the call letting us know we were approved for financing to purchase the assets of the other lumberyard in Oxbow. We are proud to have completed this deal in a short amount of time, which we began working on just a few days before we took over the first lumberyard. Excited to be able to amalgamate the two lumberyards into one in the new location (which means Starr Liquor & Wine can grow in it's own store). Exciting times!!
It was so nice to see Cory SMILE tonight as he played with the kids at the hotel pool. You could see he was less stressed with the news we received today. So proud to have him by my side as we embark on yet another adventure in this small town...we couldn't do it without one another!
