September Long Weekend

September long-weekend at the Avramovich cabin near Caroline, AB is a tradition for us. Cory & I have been going there 8 years-in-a-row (with the exception of 2004 when Ace was born) and we look forward to it every year! We love catching up with Linda & Chuck (who own the property) and their son Mike & his fiancee Tobi. It's a time to kick back, do some camping and partying with new & old friends. The Avro family have been so hospitable to us over the years...Cheers to them!

Ace on KIDS CBC Television

On Friday September 15th, Ace's birthday Star that we made and sent into KIDS CBC will be showed at 7:50am (after Lunar Jim). Hope you all can watch...if not, here's a photo we took before we sent the star off in the mail.

Ace's Pirate Party

Our sweet little man Ace turned 2 years old last Saturday. We held a pirate themed party for him in the park near our old house. It was great! We enjoyed seeing everyone and Ace had a wonderful time with all the kids. Here are some photos from the party...

The Office: Season 2

The Office: Season 2 is available on DVD today...I'm excited. Love this show, it reminds me of when I worked in the office at CVF...miss that place and all the people there. The new season 3 starts Thurs, Sept 21st. How many of you out there watch this show like me?

Mr. Reeves turns 30!

We spent the weekend in Calmar & Devon, AB celebrating our close friend’s birthday. Darrin Reeves turned 30 and there was a bash for him at his in-law’s house…thanks Mr. & Mrs. O’Dowd. Hannah did a wonderful job of planning the party and made a fabulous pool table cake for her hubby. Here are a couple of photos from the pool party.

This chair has been the most-well-spent $60 I've ever made. She loves this chair! I'd put my recommendation on it to all parents.

Ty Pennington

My Mom met this guy last week in Minot, ND. He was staying at the same hotel as my parents were. Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was filming there. The episode will be aired in mid-October. My parents even got to take a look at the finished house, they were doing a practice-run of moving 'the bus' when they were there.

Officially Crawling!

It's official...Scarlett (7 months) started to crawl yesterday and today she's motoring around here like a pro. I sat her down on the floor today to play, she started to cry and then realized 'hey, I can move now'. We are all ecstatic for her...go baby go!

Summer Holiday 2006

We went on our Summer Family Holiday a few weeks ago...it was so wonderful. We loved being together with our friends: the Hills, the Allans & the Craigs on beautiful Mabel Lake in BC. It was 10 days of relaxing enjoyment. The kids played well together and slept great. It's something we'd like to continue year after year.
