Wine Club - Holiday Party

Tonight my girlfriend Christy hosted a holiday party for our Wine Club. It was an amazing night! We each invited a guest and to switch it up a bit, we each brought a cocktail instead of wine and our favorite appetizer.

I invited my sister Christa as my special guest, we both had a great time!

Starr's Cocktail

1 oz butter ripple schnapps

1 oz green sour puss

1 cup fresca

squeeze of lime

cranberries for garnish

Kendra's Chocolate Martini

We were all settling in nicely with the drinks...then it was time to dive into the appetizers! It was quite the spread...delish!

Christy anticipated a not-so-nice morning the next day...so she took her hang-over meds.

The mint was beginning to look a bit unappealing...like seaweed (note-to-self: strain the mojitos next time).

The look on Christy's face says it all...these martinis looked amazing but tasted awful, we could hardly drink them, probably because they were 100% alcohol.

We finished up the night with visiting and some fun photos!

Home Hockey Tournament

Ace & his team skated awesome for two games today, which they ended up winning!

We spent the whole day at the rink, the kids busied themselves with activities in between games. We have become a family of 'rink rats' this winter.

Tonight we attended our first Holiday party of the season, hosted by the Town of Oxbow and RM of Enniskillen. There was a gift auction at the end of the night and funny enough, Cory choose this item...the crowd of Rider fans went wild with laughter when they realized the only Stampeders fan pulled this gift.

The Fur-minator

Today while shopping in Minot, I came across this de-sheding brush for dogs. Piper has been shedding like crazy for two weeks now...we just can't keep up with the fur around here. This is the amount of loose hair we got off her tonight...so glad it won't be on our floor tomorrow.

Waking up early and having these two join me.

A family favorite snack...assorted crackers, cheddar cheese & smoked oysters baked in the oven.

First Hockey Tourney

Today this family spent the day at the Carnduff rink to watch Ace play in his very first hockey tournament. It was great to watch his whole age 5 & 6 team play two games (alot for those little guys), there were lots of laughs from the stands. During one intermission Cory told Ace to stand in front of the opposing team's net to wait for the puck. Ace sure did that, he stood there for the rest of the game even though the puck was at the other end...too cute! Way to go Ace, you skated your heart out today buddy!

Scarlett kept herself busy playing with the other hockey sisters in the stands and eating candy, she was really well behaved considering how bored she was. Luckily the other Mom's brought a hockey-sister-survival-kit and let Scarlett in on the fun...another thing for this rookie hockey Mom to take note of.

Today we did some much needed organizing in our family room upstairs. I love a clean and organized bookshelf!

I looked forward to going out for supper with these gals ALL DAY, I was so excited! Lachelle, Trina & Missy are some of the most crafty & amazing gals I know...we've all become good friends. I loved having a visit with all of them since we're all so busy and find it hard to get together. So Missy picked a date and booked us in for supper at the Olive Branch Bistro where we indulged in cheesecake...after the delicious meal of course.

Just another Wednesday...finally got around to taking a self-portrait for my up & coming photography website.

Scarlett begged to go play outside in the snow before she headed to dance class. She had fun making snow angels.

Project 365: Today

The last few weeks have been a burst of many things...the delay in getting up-to-date on my blog again was from a lack of knowing what to say??? And that is why I feel so lucky to have my photography, because when I don't know what to say, I say it in my photographs....'A picture is worth a thousand words'!

I've also been working on a few things I'm excited to reveal in the next week!

I'm refreshed, I'm back...please keep an eye on me so I don't stray again :)
